Hey guys! I keep holding off on posting this beauty review since I feel bad about writing about something that's constantly sold out, but the Karrueche x ColourPop She pressed powder shadow palette was actually one of my favorite makeup products from the summer so I decided to go ahead and post it. If you're interested in the palette after reading this, I'd suggest keeping an eye on ColourPop's Instagram for restock information. I also picked up a couple other things when I ordered the palette (they might be sold out, but it's potentially worth waiting for a restock) so if you're still interested in learning more about these affordable makeup items, please keep reading!

glossier showroom + phase 1 set

glossier showroom + phase 1 set

Hi everyone! As you know from my last post, Gerome and I went to New York for a few days this summer. While we were there, I got to visit the Glossier showroom and check out their products in real life. I've only ever ordered from them online before, so it was really cool to play around with all their products before buying them. I ended up getting the Phase 1 Set so in this post I'll talk about the products that come in the set and how I've liked using them so far. If you love Glossier or you've never heard of them before and want to know more, please keep reading!

Hey guys! Gerome and I started off the month with a short trip to New York for his 25th birthday because we got tickets to the August 6th show of Dave Chappelle's Radio City Music Hall residency. I thought about making one big post about the trip, but there are a couple different things I want to highlight from the trip so this will probably be a series of New York posts I scatter around other pieces of content on my blog instead of an extra long post. This post is about our experience at The River Cafe, which is a beautiful Michelin-starred restaurant in Brooklyn. We started off our trip in New York with lunch at the restaurant, and I honestly think I’ll remember the meal for life. I hope you enjoy my little attempt at being a food blogger!

Normally, I wouldn't write such a negative blog post, but shit is hitting the fan right now and I just want to vent. While I don't encourage wallowing in negative thoughts, journalling is also very cathartic and can be good for your mental health. This isn't a post you'll enjoy, but I hope you'll be able to relate to my feelings and also be able to form your own thoughts on the matter.

Hey everyone! I gotta be honest with you - this summer was not totally great. I have so many blog posts in my drafts but I haven't had the energy or motivation to finish a lot of them because I'm still recovering from a myriad of injuries. In mid-July, I was in a car accident with Gerome, and then a week after that while still trying to recover, I fell down the stairs. My head was banged up, my back was banged up, my tailbone was banged up, my lungs were banged up, and my ribcage was banged up. I just went back to work this past week and also went on a short early birthday trip for Gerome, but before that, I rarely left my bed. On the bright side, there were a few days where I felt okay this summer, so I did end up doing some fun things and acquiring some favorites. I felt like I should try to compile a little favorites post for y'all because I have been out of commission for so long. This is a short one, but I'll be back soon with more! I hope you enjoy this post - please give it a like at the end if you do!
