I’ve always wondered what the point of water facial sprays were and literally a day after having a look at these evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Sprays at a Christmas Tree Shops (I’m forever shopping for Christmas decorations, don’t judge), evian kindly sent me a pair of them! They sent me a full size bottle and a travel size bottle and I’ve been trying them out for the past few weeks. Keep reading to see the different ways I’ve been using my evian facial sprays and what I think about them - and if you stick around until the end, I’ve partnered with evian for a #GiftGreatSkin holiday giveaway!
These were pretty fun to play with since I don’t have any beauty products like them. The evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Sprays contain pure evian natural spring water which has a neutral 7.2 pH level from Évian-les-Bains, France. The light mist of water that you get from the product is made of many micro-droplets, so it’s not like a shocking spray to your face. The first few times I tried it, I definitely winced since I wasn’t used to spraying anything on my face. Once I got used to it, I could definitely enjoy the feel of the mist.
Since I got a 5 oz. bottle and a 1.7 oz. bottle of evian Facial Spray, I tried it at home and at work. At work, I tend to feel tired and can doze off a little even if I chug coffee and try really hard to stay up. Bringing along the mini travel size of the facial spray, I spritzed it onto my face to wake me up a little. It actually did help refresh me and help me become just a little more energized to power through the day. It’s also not bad for just re-hydrating skin - office air tends to run drier than I’d like so it’s nice to give yourself a little spritz to bring some moisture back into your skin.
At home, I mostly used my evian Facial Spray while doing my makeup or skincare routines. I use a pretty aggressive toner at the moment to combat some of the stress acne I’ve been getting, but that can feel a little drying. I’ve begun to use my evian Facial Spray as an in-between step between my Kate Somerville toner and Shiseido moisturizer to help rehydrate my skin after my toner. With this step, my moisturizer feels like it sinks into my skin even smoother than it would without this extra bit of hydration. I have also used the spray after doing my makeup. While the evian Facial Spray is not really a setting spray, it can help amplify glowy looks especially if you’ve used a lot of powder-based products. My makeup can sometimes feel cakey even if it doesn’t look cakey, but the spray helps bring natural-looking life and hydration back into my face even while wearing a ton of full-coverage makeup.
Overall, I like the evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray. It’s not necessarily a must-have in my life, but it’s nice to have it around on my desk at work, at home, or in my handbag. Sometimes you just need a little pick me up and a refreshing spritz of water is all it takes to perk you up again. If you want to try a spray, it’s about $8 for the 1.7 oz. bottle and about $12 for the 5 oz. bottle. It might be a little pricey for what it is but is still an affordable little luxury to add to your life. You can order one at evianspray.com or pick one up at stores like American Eagle, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Ulta, or Walgreens.
