karrueche x colourpop she shadow palette

Hey guys! I keep holding off on posting this beauty review since I feel bad about writing about something that's constantly sold out, but the Karrueche x ColourPop She pressed powder shadow palette was actually one of my favorite makeup products from the summer so I decided to go ahead and post it. If you're interested in the palette after reading this, I'd suggest keeping an eye on ColourPop's Instagram for restock information. I also picked up a couple other things when I ordered the palette (they might be sold out, but it's potentially worth waiting for a restock) so if you're still interested in learning more about these affordable makeup items, please keep reading!

glossier showroom + phase 1 set

Hi everyone! As you know from my last post, Gerome and I went to New York for a few days this summer. While we were there, I got to visit the Glossier showroom and check out their products in real life. I've only ever ordered from them online before, so it was really cool to play around with all their products before buying them. I ended up getting the Phase 1 Set so in this post I'll talk about the products that come in the set and how I've liked using them so far. If you love Glossier or you've never heard of them before and want to know more, please keep reading!

summer favorites

Hey everyone! I gotta be honest with you - this summer was not totally great. I have so many blog posts in my drafts but I haven't had the energy or motivation to finish a lot of them because I'm still recovering from a myriad of injuries. In mid-July, I was in a car accident with Gerome, and then a week after that while still trying to recover, I fell down the stairs. My head was banged up, my back was banged up, my tailbone was banged up, my lungs were banged up, and my ribcage was banged up. I just went back to work this past week and also went on a short early birthday trip for Gerome, but before that, I rarely left my bed. On the bright side, there were a few days where I felt okay this summer, so I did end up doing some fun things and acquiring some favorites. I felt like I should try to compile a little favorites post for y'all because I have been out of commission for so long. This is a short one, but I'll be back soon with more! I hope you enjoy this post - please give it a like at the end if you do!

nordstrom anniversary sale picks

It seems like everyone and their mother is talking about this sale, but it IS pretty exciting. The Nordstrom anniversary sale is a time when new fall/winter products come out and you can buy them for pretty deep discounts - in early August, the prices go up again. If you like planning ahead for your next season's wardrobe, this is the perfect time to stock up on the things you need or the things you've been saving for and wanting for a while. In this post I go through some of my favorite things in the sale (this is basically my sale wishlist, divided into the store's sale categories)! Public access starts July 21, so start planning now! Sales like this can get pretty overwhelming, so it's always good to go in with a game plan. I hope you enjoy this post! Please leave a comment at the end with what you'll be buying!

mascara favorites + givenchy noir interdit

Recently, I was kindly sent the new Givenchy Noir Interdit mascara to review, so I decided to go through my mascara collection and pick out my favorites to see how this new one stacked up against the best ones from my collection. Givenchy's Noir Interdit mascara has an innovative wand that helps add length to your lashes by bending to a right angle so you can get closer to the roots of your lashes. I have very short, stick-straight Asian eyelashes so great mascaras are a must in my makeup collection. I can't be bothered to wear false lashes all the time, so I look for mascaras that add length and volume while also holding a curl. It's usually a lot to ask for all three qualities, but I think all these mascaras do a great job on my lashes.
