petite creators you should follow

Hey guys! You all probably know by now that I'm tiny af - 4'9" to be exact - so of course I have a lot of love for other petite creators. It's hard putting out content in an industry dominated by tall girls, but we make it work. It can be difficult finding style inspiration when you're extra short, so I wanted to provide a resource you can go to if you're looking to see how certain looks and styles of clothing look on shorter heights. Not all of the bloggers in this list are just fashion bloggers either - there are lots of lifestyle bloggers who do other things besides drool over clothes like I do. Petite content creators are awesome all around. Please bookmark this post if you're a petite gal looking for inspiration for dressing for your height or just want more similarly short ladies to "look up" to. I've included everyone's height for reference and I'll be updating it as I find more petite bloggers. Enjoy this post and make sure to share it with other petite ladies in your life!

the river café

Hey guys! Gerome and I started off the month with a short trip to New York for his 25th birthday because we got tickets to the August 6th show of Dave Chappelle's Radio City Music Hall residency. I thought about making one big post about the trip, but there are a couple different things I want to highlight from the trip so this will probably be a series of New York posts I scatter around other pieces of content on my blog instead of an extra long post. This post is about our experience at The River Cafe, which is a beautiful Michelin-starred restaurant in Brooklyn. We started off our trip in New York with lunch at the restaurant, and I honestly think I’ll remember the meal for life. I hope you enjoy my little attempt at being a food blogger!

summer favorites

Hey everyone! I gotta be honest with you - this summer was not totally great. I have so many blog posts in my drafts but I haven't had the energy or motivation to finish a lot of them because I'm still recovering from a myriad of injuries. In mid-July, I was in a car accident with Gerome, and then a week after that while still trying to recover, I fell down the stairs. My head was banged up, my back was banged up, my tailbone was banged up, my lungs were banged up, and my ribcage was banged up. I just went back to work this past week and also went on a short early birthday trip for Gerome, but before that, I rarely left my bed. On the bright side, there were a few days where I felt okay this summer, so I did end up doing some fun things and acquiring some favorites. I felt like I should try to compile a little favorites post for y'all because I have been out of commission for so long. This is a short one, but I'll be back soon with more! I hope you enjoy this post - please give it a like at the end if you do!

nordstrom anniversary sale picks: gerome edition

Hey guys! I'm back again with another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post, but this time, here are Gerome's picks! Gerome is a very particular shopper and is always looking for the most affordable deals. My style of shopping is definitely more frivolous than his. He picked out a few things for himself in the sale and a bunch of things for me as well. If you are a more frugal shopper but are still interested in the sale, you will definitely enjoy this post. Happy reading and happy shopping!

nordstrom anniversary sale picks

It seems like everyone and their mother is talking about this sale, but it IS pretty exciting. The Nordstrom anniversary sale is a time when new fall/winter products come out and you can buy them for pretty deep discounts - in early August, the prices go up again. If you like planning ahead for your next season's wardrobe, this is the perfect time to stock up on the things you need or the things you've been saving for and wanting for a while. In this post I go through some of my favorite things in the sale (this is basically my sale wishlist, divided into the store's sale categories)! Public access starts July 21, so start planning now! Sales like this can get pretty overwhelming, so it's always good to go in with a game plan. I hope you enjoy this post! Please leave a comment at the end with what you'll be buying!

polka dots + stripes

I'm not the biggest print-wearer, so I rarely wear two prints at a time. With these two pieces, I made an exception. Polka dots and stripes are pretty basic prints so it can be easy to pair them together. My top has small dainty polka dots, so it works really well with the thick stripes of the skirt. If you want to see more of my print-mixing outfit plus suggestions for more printed pieces you can mix and match, keep reading!
