All Black Everything
I’ve recently been doing a lot of shopping and have found myself stocking up on a lot of black. It’s probably my favorite color to wear because what’s more chic (and also badass) than an all black outfit? Earlier this week was the first time I found myself wearing such an ensemble this season. Keep reading to see my outfit details and some more black essentials to add to your wardrobe!
On Monday I went to work and then did a little shopping before meeting up with Gerome to take these photos at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. The Reservoir is such a pretty place to go on a run or just walk and take in the scenery. My outfit that day was perfect for keeping me warm by the chilly reservoir. I’m wearing one of my favorite wrap cardigans from Ralph Lauren - it’s one of my go-to sweaters to wear on colder days because it’s long on me, has pockets, and the buckle detail at the collar is so pretty. It almost has a lovely silhouette and is made of a thick cotton, which kept me fairly warm with just a cami underneath.
My current signature accessories are visible in this photo - my beloved Return to Tiffany Heart Key Pendant from Gerome and my favorite oversized Emma sunglasses. They are my current go-to sunglasses until I find new ones to add to my rotation since they have a kind of Celine feel to them which I love.
Excuse the odd things my hair is doing in this picture - it was really windy that afternoon. You might also be wondering why I’m looking down in like all the pictures in this post? Probably because I can’t keep a straight face if I look directly at Gerome but also because I may have been admiring my new boots. Because this girl currently can’t afford Stuart Weitzman 5050s, but wanted over the knee boots, she got herself a pair of similar Unisa Gillean boots from DSW. They’re only $49.95 and so cute and comfy. I’m wearing a size 5.5 and it looks a tad slouchy but they fit really well over jeans, which is a plus for me.
Working at a startup means jeans everyday (yay!) but that can be a problem for some boots. These are roomy enough to fit over jeans and the thickest of socks, while still having enough structure to maintain a nice shape over tights and leggings. Since I’m so petite they go quite a bit above my knee but it’s still very comfortable since the material at the back of the boot is so stretchy. I walk quite a lot to get to work so comfy shoes are a must in my life. So glad I have these in my collection - they’re the perfect boots for this fall and winter. Below are more black items I want to add to my wardrobe - you should add them too!
