Hey everyone, how’s your week going? Last week it was announced that Emma Watson was cast as Belle in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast movie and I’m still too excited about that. I’ve always loved Emma Watson from the very first scene I saw her in as Hermione in Harry Potter. And my love for Beauty and the Beast apparently dates back to ‘96 or '97 when I was a little toddler wearing an adorable Belle-esque dress:
I wasn’t the cutest baby ever but my Disney princess outfit game was on point. Belle is arguably my favorite Disney princess so Emma Watson playing her is probably the best thing to happen ever. I recently tried to dress like Belle for Halloween but that devolved into dressing like hipster!Belle, and then that costume just turned into dressing like a nerd. But the bookish princess is still very inspirational for outfits, as is Emma Watson, so here are some ways you can dress like Belle, Emma Watson, or both!
Emma and Belle are a fan of a classic white collared shirt. This one’s unique silhouette and neckline will be a great addition to anyone’s shirt collection.
You can’t picture Belle without seeing her in a pretty blue dress with an apron, holding a stack of books. This gorgeous dress is also something that Emma would definitely wear to a UN function or brunch.
The boyfriend got me a rose necklace last year to celebrate one month together and it’s one of my favorite necklaces. Whether you have a prince charming of your own, I think everyone should have Beauty and the Beast-themed rose jewelry.
A preppy hairbow like this is the perfect way to channel the polished classiness of girls like Belle and Emma.
This is the ultimate princess dress. A stunning real-life version of Belle’s gorgeous golden ball gown and a dress that Emma would totally rock on the red carpet, this is the dress you want to be wearing to a glamorous soiree.
To finish off any princess look you’ve gotta have a classy pair of pumps. These pale gold kitten heels will instantly transform you into the belle of the ball.
Are you guys as hype about this Emma Watson x Disney casting news? Do you guys ever still feel like dressing up like a princess? What do you wear if you do? Let me know in the comments!
