Fall 2013 Accessory Obsession: Fit for a Princess (via Style.com)

Go ahead and laugh at me, but I still haven’t given up hope on the idea of becoming a princess one day. Many of the successful women in my life have told me career first and marriage later, and I’m sticking to that creed. I don’t see marriage happening for me in the next ten years - unless it’s a prince or duke or hell, even a minor lord proposing. I blame it on my deluded romanticizing of the Victorian and Elizabethan eras. That said, there’s a part of me that wishes we were still walking around in full skirts and bodices and lots and lots of ostentatious jewelry. Gold, pearls, and diamonds are definitely this girl’s best friends.
