A Very Petite Girl’s Guide to Fall Brunch Outfits
If you’re wondering why I’m posting about brunch in the middle of the week, shhh don’t fight it. We all know that Sunday morning is a difficult time to think about clothing when all you can think about is getting rid of a hangover with some delicious food so you might as well start planning your outfit now! If you want to find out how I put together a brunch outfit for my very petite frame and also where to get the super fun pink t-strap heels I’m wearing, keep reading!
Before we get to the brunch outfit details and recommendations, let’s start off with some yummy food! Gerome and I went to Deep Ellum in Allston this past Sunday for brunch and we had a Swissbakers fresh pretzel with warm Harpoon stout cheese, poutine, house made sausages, and smoked bacon. Overall that may not seem like your typical brunch fare but we also didn’t eat until like 2pm so it was okay to forego breakfast food. It was all pretty good food to munch on while sipping on a mimosa and watching the Patriots game (well, he watched it).
After we went to Deep Ellum we went to Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum to take pretty fall pictures. My brunch outfit of the day consisted of a cropped Diesel jacket, a flannel from Uniqlo tucked into skinny jeans from Current/Elliott, and the prettiest little t-strap heels from The Little Shoe Store. My fall brunch outfits are always some combo of jacket, tucked in shirt, jeans, and a pretty shoe. It’s a good way to maintain your body’s proportions while still looking cute and presentable. While a pink shirt and shoes and light wash jeans may be an odd choice for a fall outfit, it’s nice to deviate from the usual darker autumn palette.
One of the best ways a petite girl can add flair to her fall brunch outfit is with a pair of heels. Autumn is usually when people break their boots out but it doesn’t hurt to wear heels sometimes! Heels add height and a touch of class to your look, but as petite girl, you may have trouble finding heels that fit well. I was so happy when Sydney from The Little Shoe Store in New York sent me these adorable Kasson heels. I have a size 5 and they fit amazingly with no slippage even with my tiny feet. At other shoe stores my feet never really seem to fit well in heels no matter what the size, but the build of these shoes and the t-strap makes them fit super comfortably. If you’re a petite girl and have trouble finding cute shoes that fit well, I highly recommend shopping at The Little Shoe Store!
