I keep saying I’m gonna blog again and I keep not blogging but I have nothing productive to do until I start working late this month so I might as well just blog now, right? I literally do nothing but play dress up with my little sister everyday. Time to turn little kid dress up into grown up blogging.
I’m gonna restart my foray into the blogging world with a haul post of some of the pretty little things I’ve gotten in the past few weeks. I have a terrible addiction to shopping that I should really not have because I am literally a broke college student but whatever, my mother enables (funds) my vice. Can’t wait to start incorporating these pieces into my summer wardrobe!
Light and airy with cute contrasting cuffs and collar, this minimalistic blouse is perfect for dressing up for work or dressing down with a brightly colored statement necklace.
This pretty plaid shirt would look great with the sleeves scrunched up and messily tucked into chino shorts, a perfect outfit for Sunday brunches and walks in the park.
Perks of being as petite as I am: shopping in kids sections. A fave is Ralph Lauren’s children’s collection and my most recent funsize find is their soft and comfy twill romper.
I always wanna wear crazy patterned pants but once I try them on they just look too loud so I settle for subtle prints and textures like the ones on these slate colored jeans.
This year I’ve gotten really into flared skirts. There’s just something so fun about them and they also really pull a look together. Paired with a plain blouse, the print and texture of this skirt would make it the highlight of an outfit.
I’m usually not one for crazy prints on dresses but the subdued neon leaves pattern of this dress makes it really fun and summery. The front zipper is also a cool detail.
Fit and flare dresses are my go-to silhouette and I love the faux leather paneling on this dress. It’s a minute detail that elevates this little black dress into something a little edgier.
MARC BY MARC JACOBS
I’d been wanting a new watch for a while now and finally acquired this little gem. The timepiece is chunky and very shiny, making it the new star of my arm candy. I’m also so in love with the little pave stone detailing inside the face.
So there are some of my favorite new summer wardrobe pieces! Let me know which piece is your favorite and what other kind of posts you’d like to see down below in the comments!
