crane estate & summer scallops

Last month, Gerome and I visited Ipswich, MA to see The Crane Estate. It was the 125th Anniversary of The Trustees (they preserve historical sites and cultural landmarks in Massachusetts) so there was a ‘Home Sweet Home’ Open House at a number of beautiful Trustees properties during which admission was free. We chose to go to The Crane Estate because it was the most eye-catching of all the mansions that were holding open houses. Once we got to the property, we were not disappointed by what we saw. Keep reading to see photos from our visit to the Crane Estate (including what I wore and what we ate in Ipswich)!

weekend adventures & mini haul

Hi guys! Gerome and I didn’t leave the house at all yesterday (and probably still won’t today) because he’s been sick and now I’m feeling sick. It’s probably because we spent too much time out in the cold this past weekend. Feeling bored by the places we normally frequent in Boston, we explored everywhere from Charlestown to Newport, Rhode Island. Worth getting sick with the weather now getting better? Probably not, but we still had a lot of fun and did some shopping along the way. Keep reading to see where we went and what we got!

Schoola Haul & Restaurant Week

If you’ve liked my blog on Facebook or follow me on Twitter, you may have already seen me post aboutSchoola. Schoola is a really awesome site where you can shop secondhand clothes while also fundraising for schools. I found it when I was looking around for ways to do some spring cleaning of my clothing, since I currently only sell my clothes on Poshmark. Schoola is a great option for anyone looking to clean out their closet by donating old clothes or trying to add to their wardrobe without spending a lot. I wore one of the tops I bought from Schoola when Gerome and I went to Dine Out Boston at Smith & Wollensky, so if you keep reading, you can also see what we ate at the castle in Back Bay!

Best Boston Bites

I’m not going to pretend to be a legitimate food blogger because I’m really nothing more than a #foodie who can’t say much more about food than “holy *insert expletive here* this looks good” right after snapping a pic for Snapchat. But I do happen to eat out a lot because of an unfortunate combination of not knowing how to cook and not knowing what to cook. I’ve amassed quite a few favorites in my time trying out different restaurants in Boston so keep reading if you need help planning where you’re gonna be eating this Halloween weekend
